Today we are mourning the loss of a long time friend of ours, Piper. Many of our handlers called her “Big Mama” and have spent nearly everyday with her for the past few years. She was so loved by staff and all her dog friends. It’s going to be strange not seeing her mom give her a forehead kiss and send her to play, where once she got to the back— she would let everyone know she had arrived with her biggest “Woowoowoo”. Last year, Piper lost her sister Panda— this morning, they found each other once again, across the rainbow bridge. Thank you Lisa (and Bonnie) for bringing Piper and Panda into our lives. Our staff sends our deepest condolences and all our love. The girls will forever be family and live on in our memories. ❤️🪽🌈

The idea for The FURlough Dog Daycare and Pet Resort was inspired by our love for dogs (and cats) and the recognition of the massive need for daycare and boarding services for busy families in our community. We love our pets as family members and, when circumstances allow, we take them with us on excursions and adventures. On those occasions that they are not able to accompany us, we want to be sure they are safe and well taken care of by someone who cares.
