My set up consists of a keter manor 4x6 shed on Amazon when it goes on sale (https://a.co/d/0c5d6FFO), plus a 3 section run (20 feet long), and a roll of hardware cloth to add along the bottom IN ADDITION to whatever hardware cloth it comes with. Gotta double up on hardware cloth at the bottom and skirt it out to cover the ground. I cut a hole in the back for the shed door and staple the hardware cloth to the shed with some wood or weather stripping. Everything is held down with steel bars and strong rope. We add 2x4s and joists in the shed for roosting, which are removable for cleaning. Lastly, we fill it with chicken furniture (nesting boxes and ladders)!

This is Cloud! She's an Azure Blue hen. She came to us as the sole survivor of a racoon attack. She had a ripped comb and her eye was scratched/swollen shut. She lost her whole flock :(. Her beak is also broken off at the tip, but we are unsure if it was related to the racoon attack or a prior accident.

In just 3 weeks she has made a huge turn around! She has gained a considerable amount of weight, made new friends on the farm, and healed so much. She has almost full use of the affected eye and has even started laying eggs again 🙏💕
