Flagstaff lost an absolute icon 💔 Earlier this month we said goodbye to Luke, our sweet big boy and the face of this page. 11 years of memories and teddy bear cuddles, wish we had 11 more.

Feels like the end of an era - We started Dog Friendly Flagstaff together in 2018, and I feel so lucky to have spent the past 7 years enjoying Flag’s patios and pup cups with my boys!! Thankfully both his and Rico’s spirits will live on in our pics and videos here and the 100000 more in my camera roll 🐾

So much gratitude for the incredible teams at YEAH and Oak Creek Small Animal Clinic - They supported us through both our dogs Luke & Rico’s final days with endless love and compassion ♥️♥️

If you’re planning on visiting a National Park or National Forest, reminder to pack your patience, empathy and understanding! If you haven’t seen the news, these organizations (along with BLM & USFWS) have lost approximately 6000 employees due to workforce reduction policies by the current administration. These already understaffed departments are vital for protecting and conserving our public lands, wildlife, and their habitats.
⚠️WHAT TO EXPECT:
1. Unavailable services such as visitors centers, ranger programs, bathrooms
2. Longer responding times for emergencies
3. Longer wait times at gates
4. Delayed maintenance & upkeep of public spaces
⚠️ HOW TO HELP:
1. Sign the NPCA petition to congress (link in bio)
2. Call your representatives
3. VOTE for leaders who protect public lands
4. Volunteer at a local park
5. Be patient with remaining staff
6. Always leave no trace

Heads up! One of our recommended snow play spots, Oak Hill, is closed for the 2022-2023 winter season for logging operations.
There’s a chance of snow in Flagstaff tomorrow ⛄️ Always make sure to find a safe place, far away from any roads or highways, when playing in the snow! 🐾
