🐍🥚 Partho Clutch Alert! 🥚🐍

Our CinnaBee female (Cinnamon Spider) has laid a clutch of 5 eggs without being paired, making this a potential parthenogenetic clutch!

Parthenogenesis, often called a “virgin birth,” is a rare phenomenon where a female produces offspring without a male. While there’s no guarantee the eggs will develop, we’re excited to see what happens over the coming weeks.

Nature always finds a way to keep us on our toes!

We’ll be candling these eggs, tracking development, and sharing updates along the way. Stay tuned to see if this incredible clutch has a surprise in store for us!

🐍 Update on the Mystery Baby 🐍

This little one finally completed a full shed, so we collected the shed and sent it off for genetic testing! Now the waiting game begins.

He’s definitely keeping us guessing. While all of his clutch mates are thriving and growing quickly, this little guy is still requiring feeding assistance and is only about half their size. Despite that, he’s hanging in there, shed successfully, and continues to show us he’s not ready to quit.

Sometimes the smallest fighters have the biggest stories to tell. ❤️

We’re excited to see what the genetic results reveal and will be sure to share an update when they come back!
