What a busy few weeks. We've taken a mini vacation to join the Indiana and the Blue Ridge Shop Hops. The amount of kitty fabric we've found has been amazing and we are back to creating fun cat accessories as we prepare for Carolina Kitty Con. 😻 Make sure to mark your calendars to join us and other amazing cat lovers 20-21 June at the NC Fairgrounds. We will see you there! 💙

As we head into Memorial Day, Blue Isle is taking a moment of remembrance for those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice. We are eternally grateful for the opportunities and freedoms they fought hard to protect. While you head into the weekend don't forget to remind yourself that freedom is never free and we stand on the sacrifices of those who came before us. They will never be forgotten.

"Love your pet? See your vet."

💙💙💙 Every time I mention that I am a cat trainer people say "I didn't know you could train cats." The next comment is "How do you train a cat?" Our training program is focused on enrichment, stimulation, and confidence for our feline companions. Each cat is unique, they have their own personalities, their own fears, their own strengths, and they are their own species. We use Fear Free positive enforcement through a clicker and reward based series of activities to enhance cat happiness and to address behavior issues when needed. Most importantly, we strive to stay current with scientific behavioral studies to make sure we are building not just on our credentials and experience, but on elements veterinary behavioral experts say are important. The wellness team is created between the cat parents, the groomers, the trainers, and the veterinary professionals to support your feline. Another great education course on Fear Free practices to support your fur kiddos. As a certified and active member, I always learn something new to apply to my cat training services. For those who are not familiar, Fear Free focuses on efforts of veterinary practices, sitters, and trainers to reduce fear, stress, and anxiety in our pets. I strongly believe in their principles as a core foundation of our cat training and would love to chat with you on the proven benefits for your furry loved ones!

SOCKS!!!! Please support Cumberland County, NC Animal Services and their call for your socks. It is a super simple ask and it means you can clean out that sock drawer as you prepare for a flip flop summer 😸

Weird request… but we promise it makes a big difference.

We’re in need of socks of any size (new or gently used) to make rice packs for our surgery patients. These help keep animals warm and comfortable while they recover from anesthesia.

If you have any extra socks hanging around, we would love to take them off your hands.

A bit quiet this week, we have been busy with our cat training services 😻. If you are a rescue and interested in cat training services, please drop us a call, text, or email. We know cat returns can be stressful for not only the rescue, but the adopter. Blue Isle may be able to help! 💙

This Saturday we are headed back to PetSense in Spring Lake to support 4Paws Sake. They have a plethora of kittens ready for adoption, so stop by and pick up your next best friend! *Don't forget, onsite adoptions come with a Blue Buck for 50% a cat training consultation!
