Ausdauerā€™s Hazy Little Thing NA NF DS DJ BCAT TKN LD-N LC-N ā€œHopsā€ earned 2 Open Standard Qs this past weekend to wrap up our last event for 2025!
We wouldā€™ve had our first Open FAST Q too if it were dependent on Hops only, I NQā€™d us by stepping barely over the line. She needs one more JWW Novice Q to wrap up that title and fully be in Open! We missed them this weekend by just having a few bars knocked. Also, this past weekend was our first time in any Open classes and Iā€™m so impressed with her success after immediately moving up in Standard after we struggled for so long with her contacts. We are coming together as a team and I cannot wait to see how far we get in 2026 before she takes a break for PUPPIES!

Itā€™s here! I cannot believe only 4 years into my program and Iā€™ve accomplished this AKC Breeder Of Merit goal. There are many other, larger goals on my list, but this is a great start that helps push my program forward even more.

Hops is running in her first ā€œside by sideā€ two ring agility trial this weekend (today & Sunday)!
She has done a two ring trial before, but the rings were in separate rooms. These will both be in the same room, and Iā€™m curious to see how she handles that as a young dog whoā€™s just started her agility career. Itā€™s good for me to take these things into consideration and make sure her and I are connecting in our runs so I donā€™t lose her focus.
Tomorrow, Saturday, we have a day off for Thanksgiving with my husbandā€™s family!

Itā€™s been a minute since Iā€™ve been in the conformation ring!
Iā€™m already starting to plan my schedule for USASA 2026, and while Iā€™m still not sure Iā€™m ready to step back in the conformation ring, we will be competing in at least 3 other sports. Pictured is Hops & I at USASA 2023.

Hops picked up her NA and NF titles this weekend at MCOTCā€™s agility trial!

I am extremely proud of her. She held her start line stays in all but one run, she hit all of her contacts, she took her directionals, and she didnā€™t get a single table fault.

She had a really solid weekend overall. She went 3/5, and in the two non-Q runs (both JWW) she only knocked one bar in each. She is now moving up to Open Standard and Open FAST, and once we grab that one last Novice JWW Q sheā€™ll be fully in Open. This was only her fourth AKC trial!

Our last trial of the year is this coming weekend and weā€™re only entered for two days. Fingers crossed the courses are nice, but honestly, regardless of what happens, Iā€™m so proud of my Hoppy girl and how far she has come. šŸ»šŸ¾

I have to thank my wonderful trainer, Jennifer McDonald, who always answers all of my questions and shows me how to fix everything Iā€™m doing wrong.
Thank you to the club, the judges (one for the course map, one for the actual judging), and everyone who helps put these trials on.
