PIERRE is settling in and learning to be a lap pig. Pierre doesn’t get along with other guinea pigs but he is enjoying people! He is doing okay sharing a room with other guinea pigs, but no cagemates please. As his prior home did report that he bit a couple times, we would recommend only adults and older, respectful kids (middle school+) handle him. It’s okay if you have younger children in the home as long as you have a plan to keep curious fingers away.

Pierre would make a great buddy for someone with time to spend with him. He loves treats and gets very excited when someone walks near his enclosure. He’s also incredibly handsome!

Won’t you adopt Zoey? She’s giving her best 🥺 face to ask for a forever home. She’s a sweet hammy who came to us absolutely terrified after living with a bengal cat (a hybrid between a domestic cat and an asian leopard cat- often a much higher prey drive than domestic cats) who would not leave her alone. It took some time but she has settled in, realized she’s safe, and is blossoming into a lovely lady. Now she just needs a forever family.

SAM is one of the sanctuary animals your donations support. Sam came to us from a facebook marketplace ad with his siblings and dad. Later, we discovered he has a cleft palate which means we need to keep a close eye on his weight and ability to eat. He eats a mix of regular hamster food and a special mush that our founder makes.

Our current Sanctuary Residents are:
-Lucy, a chinchilla with malocclusion. We are closely monitoring her quality of life and sadly she will have a shortened lifespan and eventually require euthanasia.
-Kestrel, a senior dwarf hamster with arthritis that receives daily pain meds
-Sam, pictured here
-Jud, a senior ferret with insulinoma who receives daily meds
-Smudge, a senior rat who turns 2 in November. We said goodbye to both of his siblings earlier this year.
-Splinter, a senior rat who is nearly 3 years old
-Starscream, a senior syrian hamster with arthritis

Your donations help us keep them fed, cozy, and comfortable and most importantly pays for their vet bills!

Eugene the guinea pig needed an xray last weekend as well as some medication. He was experiencing a lot of drooling and we needed to determine the cause. He was diagnosed with a heart murmur and potential infection.

Jud the ferret has insulinoma that he takes medication for and he needed a refill recently.

Total, we have a $366.29 bill that we need to cover. We are low on funds due to food/bedding purchases and helping out some community members with vet bills. Please if you can spare a few dollars to cover these bills we will be very grateful!!

PLUTO and JUNO are an adult pair of bonded boys who sadly were returned due to health issues in their adoptive family. They were very loved, saw our vet yesterday for a checkup, and have the all clear for adoption. These boys are sweet, kid friendly, and so lovable.
