Heat stress can affect livestock faster than many people realize.

As our temperatures are rising fast, make sure your animals have:
- Clean water access
- Shade
- Ventilation
- Reduced handling during peak heat.

Extra attention during hot days can help prevent serious health issues!

Happy Vet Assistant Week! 🩺🐴

Figured this week was the perfect excuse for a little introduction since I’m usually the one behind the camera or hanging onto the lead rope somewhere.

Hi! I’m Sierra. I grew up in Quincy, California, and got into horses when I was really young.. and yeah, I never grew out of the horse girl phase. Growing up I stayed busy with 4-H, band, cheerleading, and had the opportunity to be our local rodeo queen.

After college, I moved to Reno and started working in veterinary medicine. I’ve been in the field for about seven years now, mostly in small animal medicine, but I’m really happy to be back working with large animals again.

I married my husband in September 2025, and we live in Fallon with our little crew — two horses, a mini, chickens, and four dogs that definitely keep life entertaining. Outside of work, you can usually find me on a horse or somewhere with the dogs.

I’m really thankful to be part of this field and lucky to work with such amazing clients, patients, and coworkers every day. 💙

Quick health check!

A healthy horse should generally have:

- Bright eyes
- Good appetite
- Normal manure production
- Consistent water intake
- Comfortable movement

Small changes can be early warning sings of bigger problems. Don’t hesitate to call if something seems “off”

Preventive care saves time, stress and money.

Routine wellness visits can help identify:
- Dental Issues
- Weight Loss
- Parasite Concerns
- Nutritional problems
- And so much more

Scheduling annual exams is one of the best investments you can make in your animals long-term health.

Behind every healthy herd is a lot of hard work.

We appreciate the ranchers, horse owners and farmers who care for their animals every single day - rain , shine, or whatever else the Nevada weather may throw at us.

Thank you for letting us be part of your team 💜

There’s nothing better than seeing a horse feel good in their body.

Dr. Archuleta is certified through the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association (AVCA), meaning your horses are getting knowledgeable, professional chiropractic care you can trust.

Whether you’ve got a performance horse that needs to stay at the top of their game, or a pasture buddy that just deserves to be comfortable and moving right, chiropractic care can make a huge difference. From improving mobility and flexibility to helping with soreness and overall well-being, it’s one of those things horses can’t tell us they need, but definitely benefit from.

This is Nikki enjoying a little tune-up and soaking it all in.

If you’ve been on the fence about trying chiropractic care for your horse, consider this your sign 😉
