Our rescue partner, works hard to help stray and feral cats live better lives. They manage the “t” and “r” in Trap/Neuter/Release, we cover the “n”. We’re both hoping that one day we won’t have to work as much together on this. But until then, every spay and neuter stops another litter that has to struggle to survive.

We seem to celebrate a lot. Here are a@few of the feral faces that have come our way in the last month or so. It’s so satisfying to get them young enough to domesticate them and find homes.

Mirta from Casita de Paws Rescue is an angel here on earth. She spotted a dog in need on her way to a spay/neuter clinic that she runs in Tijuana. Saw that the dog needed medical attention for TVT, a veneral tumor and picked her up. These tumors are contagious so important to get her away from other dogs. Dr Jane and Mirta have been down this road together before. Fortunately, the cancer responds well to chemo.
And Sadie is on her way to recovery and a life off the streets. If you want to help visit page

Dr Jane has been working with for a couple of years now taking veterinary services to pet families that need care. Sometimes that means hitting the trails to meet them where they live.

AnimalKind does a lot of TNR (Trap/Neuter/Release)work to help manage feral cat populations. And in most cases, cats are released back to their own territories. But this lady was dropped off at with 2 crates of kittens of different ages and no info on whereabouts. The Sanctuary took on caring for the kittens so they could get adopted. But adult cats are hard to domesticate. We’re lucky there’s such a great network of animal people in Fallbrook and a woman stepped up to acclimate this lady to a new career and gave her a name Azreal and a home. Azreal will be helping to manage a ranch (with a couple of other cats) way out on the Santa Marg. A great outcome all around. 😻

Magic’s first trick was being the only surviving feral kitten out of his litter, even his mom disappeared! Left on his own, he was trapped at about 5 weeks and we’ve been fostering him getting ready to find a home. He’s been socialized with other cats and dogs. He (like all the other kittens at the adoption event) have been fixed, vaccinated, and dewormed. Come meet him on Saturday 6/28 at 11:00 at the Kahoots in Fallbrook. @
