What a ride it has been for this incredible team! A last minute horse change before the first spring major, and they haven’t looked back since!

Vivienne King and “Queen Of Suggestions” have been steadily progressing with each ride and every show! We are so proud of Vivienne’s determination and grit in the face of adversity! All of that tenacity is really paying off now with some great outings at The EMO Celebration!

The age old debate on what constitutes as skinny and what is fat when it comes to our ponies. I like mine moderately fleshy. I tend to pay the most attention to the top line and around the tail. If the top line is ridged, you should talk to an equine expert on additional supplements and what to feed your pony to get an optimal conditioned partner.

He’s a handsome yearling! Gorgeous coat coming through as his winter woollies fall out. Look at his natural jog on a very loose line. I’m really looking forward to getting this one under saddle and by the looks of it, he should ride like his mamma who was hands down the nicest I’ve ever ridden. 🙏🏻💙💋💵

This has been my biggest struggle this past year. So many changes in life has left me feeling very stressed and overwhelmed. So when I ride, I expect my stress to disappear (it’s my happy place… right?) and when my horse is having a let’s call it, difference in opinion…. Then I’m frustrated and the whole ride tends to fall apart, leaving both of us feeling disconnected and unsatisfied. I’ve had to work hard at meditating over lowering my expectations and riding in the moment. A good reminder for us all!

One thing horses are really good at is being present in the moment. People, not so much. We tend to carry baggage from the past and stress about the future, ...

Sun Circuit Show Wrap Up (Part 2)

Congratulations “Queen Of Suggestions” (AKA: Queen) and her BRAND NEW rider Vivienne King!

This new team had only been together for 4 days before heading to Arizona to show, and they had a fantastic Sun Circuit making progress every ride!

2022 Bay Roan Stud Prospect!!!
“Kissin for Cash” is out of an own daughter of “RLBS” bred by The Mastersons (my favorite mare of all time)! And by WC producing stallion “Kissin the Girls”. I’d love to keep this one for myself, but we sold the farm 3 months ago and the board on three horses is killing me! My loss is someone’s gain. The winds of change are blowing here at DPH. I’ve decided to take a step back from breeding to sell our farm and build a new home. While it pains me to let go of my cherished broodmares, I could not be more happy that Kristy and Dean Goodall believed in them enough to drive to AL from ND to purchase them both and give them wonderful homes. Since day one, I’ve felt a kindred connection to Kristy and how we share the same vision for the future of the QH. I’m excited to see Harley’s legacy live out through my beautiful girls! Thank you so much for making this life change so much easier. I can sleep well knowing they are in your talented and capable hands! 💙💙💙
