Welcome to all our new friends and page visitors! I’ve had many people reach out in recent weeks asking about boarding in my home. I wanted to make a post introducing myself and explain what boarding here is like!
The reason I board in my home is because I’ve had terrible personal experiences with facility style boarding. If you are someone who has had similar experiences, and you have a pet friendly pup, we’d love to meet!
A little about me - I have been a professional pet sitter since 2004, when I started pet sitting for clients of the veterinary hospital I worked in. I worked in veterinary care on and off for 15 years, but have been pet sitting consistently since.
This is my full-time job! My son helps with pet sitting in our clients homes, and I board pet friendly dogs and cats in my home. I provide pick up and drop off for all services, a complementary meet and greet at your home and mine, and have references I can provide - but there are also many reviews here spanning years on my Facebook business page. (If you’d are a current client and haven’t left a review, we’d love some current ones!)
When new pups are here, I don’t leave them alone at any point. If there is an emergency, they are kept completely separate from any other pets here.
I am insured and bonded, and have a fully fenced in yard!
For super active pups, we can hike and swim. For less active pups, we can do walks and yard play. Any dog who stays can sleep wherever they’d like, my bed included! I also have couches, dog beds, and crates for those who like them.
My pets have been doing this their whole lives, so when new pets come in - they gauge their interactions based on how comfortable the new pups are. They will play, they will hang, they will snuggle - or they will keep their distance if that is what is preferred. I also have lots of space and am able to separate if that is also a requirement for new pets.
I am well versed in many behavioral and medical needs, and require that pets who stay just be up to date on their Rabies, DHPP & KC vaccines.
We love new friends!
Pricing for boarding in my home averages $100 day if there are no special needs, but I give 10% off to new clients. For 2+ pets, the price is $100 for the first and $50 for each additional pet from the same family. My son sitting in our clients homes is $75/day, or we can stop by multiple times per day for $25 each, dates dependent. Ayden is a soon to be 20 year old Marine Biology major at the University of New Haven and has also been petsitting his own clients since sophomore year of high school.
We are a pet care team that can cover many different pet’s needs. Send a DM if you’d like more information!
