3-20-25 ~ So happy to report that Rex’s entropion surgery was a wonderful success! He’s fully recovered & looks fabulous! It is so nice to look into his clear, healthy, pain-free eyes. He looks a bit like a barn owl at the moment but his fur will grow back 🥰

Ruthie & Rue ~ Welcome pet rats! 🐀🐀🥰 I spontaneously responded to a post seeking a home for the 2 sisters. I had many pet rats over the years (decades ago, all rescued/adopted) but after getting into cat rescue, there was no room to safely house small animals. With the passing of our beloved Danny last month space was freed up in the room he shared with Sweetie Pie.
Ruthie & Rue are so friendly, sweet & easy going. It’s great to have pet rats again! Unfortunately Ruthie has a large tumor on her chest, despite being only around a year old. The estimate by the vet to remove it was colossal 💔😢
The tumor is growing quickly so we’ll care for sweet Ruthie & spoil her until it’s time💔🐀💖🐾

Fred is an other youngster who came from a rescuer in WVa. He’s similar in age to Jeremy but is very mellow. This precious fellow just wants to cuddle & purr & curl up in the crook of your neck 💗 He likes to explore everywhere, including upon counter tops, among indoor plants, atop paperwork & craft projects, etc! His heart is pure gold so he’s forgiven 🥰

Spencer came to us from a rescue in Wythe, Va. He also waited patiently in a crate for an opening at a FeLV sanctuary. Spencer was rescued from an overpopulation crisis at a rural property. He overcame some health issues & is now ok. We’re hoping more good nutrition & TLC will bring the shine back to his coat. Spencer is a little shy but a very sweet cuddle bug 💗

Jeremy ~ This cute little buddy came to us from Frederick, Md’s shelter. He is the sweetest, most fun, playful, delightful kitty to have on board! He loves cuddles & is the most affectionate kitty ever 😻 He loves rasslin’ with big “Uncle” Terry, who is an overgrown kitten at heart. They even look alike 😸

Sasha came from RCACP in Roanoke & is the most fabulous, spectacular cat! This quirky girl is amazing as she is beautiful. Her plush coat is super silky & her personality is off the chart abundant! 😄 Sasha is very affectionate. She rolls around to get your attention & is very expressive & vocal about everything. She loves to cuddle & loves lap time.
Unfortunately Sasha doesn’t like other cats & refuses to come out of the large quarantine enclosure. (It’s ok, we have other quarantine spaces if needed 😸). She’ll only come out for snuggles when no other cats are in the room.
We don’t often do adoptions but it’s clear Sasha would be happier in a 1 cat home of her own. She’s FeLV+, outwardly healthy & the most unique, lovely cat!
