Pheasants are some of the most commonly botched birds in taxidermy. Here we make sure they look like a live bird. This is where your research ties in with choosing an educated bird taxidermist for better quality mounts....you just need to provide quality specimens at that point.

P.S. the string around the legs is a tourniquet for injecting the feet with masters blend.

Please do not bug for bird updates, we've been getting way too many people asking updates months from being anywhere near completion. It does not make things go faster to check in and it is not the message we like to get. Please give us patience so we can get work done. We will reach out to you when it's time.

Lately, we've gotten our first raptors through the studio. From birds for local wildlife centers, wildlife programs and falconers...any and all of them come with lots of paperwork. Aside from a licensed falconer, no individual may possess them.

This juvenile red tailed hawk is a falconers bird and will be grappling a pigeon once complete. Younger red tails have a beautiful striated yellow eye and the color on the tail remains a pale brown.

Colorado locals, come see us at the Mile high hunt and fish expo in Denver March 20-22nd. Booth 408.
We will be mounting a bird at the show once a day, as a view only event. Several birds will be on display. There will also be a price increase coming soon, as demand is ever growing. We are nearly full for the summer.
