We have been seeing more flystrike cases this year due to the high humidity and heat. So what is flystrike? Flystrike is when flies lay eggs on an animal, and the hatched maggots feed on the flesh. Flies are more likely to lay eggs on soiled fur, like around the hind end, and can lead to severe pain and infection.
