Learning something new takes time and patience. The same is true for dogs.
It doesn't matter if your dog is nervous, reactive, or a goofball; expecting them to jump on the treadmill and take off sprinting their first time is not realistic.
On average, we start seeing dogs get comfortable between 4 to 6 runs, but there’s been dogs that have taken 8, 10, even 20 runs to start getting consistent.
Very much like humans, every dog has their own personality and ability. My job is to help them get there in their own time. It's important not to rush anything with training dogs on the slatmill. The end goal above all else is that they enjoy their time running with GoDoggoGo.
