"It's pictures of shelter dogs. Why don't you just send the raw files instead of all the editing?"

Well.. can you see the difference? Most raw files are not good enough to post. Or too light, or too dark. Or you'll have objects that distract you from what you really have to look at: the dog!
So before sending the pictures, I do a minimal edit on it.

Because the dog pops out more, he/she will be seen. Chances of adoption increase🥰📷

"My dog is scared of new people and in different environments. Can I still do a photoshoot?"
It's a question that I get once in a while. The answer is 'yes'! You can absolutely still do a photoshoot with a dog that's scared. 😁

I'll always make sure I'm at the location way before the shoot time. This gives you the opportunity to let your dog meet me already and I can check out the best places for pictures. During the shoot I can keep a good distance because of the lense I'm using. I don't have to come near if your dog doesn't like it! And you can keep the dog on a leash (I've got photo leashes available that are easier to edit out of pictures), so your dog feels safe.

During the shoot we can give the dog some well needed rest too. Play with favorite toys, run around, etc. Sometimes those moments make good pictures too🥰
And the most important thing: you'll be there the whole time and you can bring others that your dog is comfortable with too! So your dog is not alone and has that extra comfort during the whole process.❤️📷

Last weekend was another day at the shelter for Animal Aid for Vermilion Area (AAVA)
It's not the most ideal location for a photoshoot, of course. No nice backgrounds, lot of distractions and harsh light. But... those faces make it all worth it!❤️🐾
