I know it’s not the flowers fault. But, the dahlias and garden this year feel pretty icky and tainted without their smol legged, frito foots smelling, sweet as could ever be, squishy faced loyal protector. We miss him. The dirt misses him digging holes. The freshly planted tubers miss him laying on them. The neighbors miss hearing him snore as they walk by. Loki, bao and his cats miss rubbing next to him.

We lost our baby today. Nothing will ever be the same for us, and our hearts are utterly shattered and feeling a bit impossible to ever be put back together.

If you know me, you know my entire existence revolves around animals, especially my dogs. To me they are far more than a dogs, and are the absolute better halves of me. Goose was my child, my literal fur toddler and losing him today was the actual worst day of our lives thus far.

He’s so loved. We’re in shock and can’t believe this is real. If you don’t hear from me for a week or so, please know I’m not ignoring you. I’m grieving my best friend 🖤 thank you
