Sound Animal Wellness, PLLC is a mobile acupuncture practice serving dogs, cats and horses in Covington, Maple Valley, Kent, Auburn, Enumclaw, and surrounding areas. During your first visit a detailed history, physical exam and TCM scan will be done. A TCM diagnosis will be made and appropriate acupuncture treatment will be determined. Herbs and Diet may also be discussed as these are also part of

a well-balanced pet

Dr. Amanda will be out of the office August 17-September 6th. Ashley and Kendra will be periodically responding to text, email and phone. Kendra is available to do PEMF sessions if needed while Dr. A is gone.

Everyone I would like to announce that I have hired a new receptionist/assistant!

Please welcome Ashley Gibson!! She will now be helping me with phones, email, text and all the other fun communication stuff. This should help take a little off my plate and allow us to get back to everyone faster. Ashley has lots of vet reception/assistant experience with small animal as well as equine. We are so very happy to have her working with us. Please Welcome Ashley!

Born and raised in Washington state. I have had a love for animals since I was very young. I am currently owned by 3 dogs Bane (3yr old blue heeler), Kimber (8yr old rottweiler hound mix), Kooper (10yr old St bernard), 2 cats ToeJam and Bezer and 13 chickens. In my free time I love spending time at the drag strip watching my husband Dylan race, and occasionally horse back riding.

More updates: We have been trying to figure how to handle all the price increases we are experiencing right now, so Temporarily starting in July we are going to have to add a $5 fuel surcharge fee to our mobile visits. We hope everyone understands and soon as price of gas drops we can remove the fee.

The other price change will be for our horse PEMF treatments. Cost of maintaining our machine and cost of making sure our annual continuing education is up to date in order to maintain our certification as PEMF practitioners has all increased. So horse treatments will be $85/session starting in July. There will be no additional fuel charge for the horse visits at this time. Most barns are great about scheduling multiple horses for us to see at one place!

Updates: I want to thank everyone for keeping us busy!! We are working on better ways to handle the influx of patients. On Mondays Kendra has been helping out 9-3pm with phones/emails/ appointments/etc. and it has been wonderful! Hoping to add a permanent receptionist/assistant in the future. We are also working on trying to hire another veterinarian so that we are able to help more pets soon! Stay tuned!

We are now seeing patients in our Enumclaw office on Wednesdays and Fridays. We have created a homey feel and added relaxing scents and music to reduce stress and make treatments enjoyable. We have comfy beds and blankets for pets to lay on while they have their session. Hoping this will help us be able to see a few more patients in a day and also make our services available to those outside our travel area.

Hi Everyone, I just wanted to share some updates...

I have been working on creating a nice office space so that I can start seeing some patients in one location. This might be for clients that would otherwise be out of my service area or patients that I need to see on an urgent bases or even those that would prefer to come to me. The goal is to have this up and working starting in March. My office is located in Enumclaw. I will post pictures soon!

Kendra Mack, reiki master/animal communicator, has been helping me out since last summer and things are going great! We are now able to see more MagnaWave/PEMF patients. Kendra is certified to practice PEMF and our typical approach is to have both of us come to the first visit and make a plan for that patient and then she will handle the rest of the PEMF work. If needed I come out and do rechecks. She is also working on becoming certified to work on humans so stay tuned for that option. She is currently taking new reiki/animal communication appointments as well (Out of this World Reiki, 253-302-7381).

I just wanted to let everyone know that we are still open during this time. We have made some changes to how we do things. I have been trying to do more PEMF Therapy as it allows for greater distancing and doing as much work outside as possible.

I have been able to get some more PPE and can now start seeing some acupuncture appointments again.

Also I haven't formally introduced our new in-home euthanasia and hospice service, so stay tuned for that, but with a few modifications we are still able to preform this service as well.

Sound Animal Wellness is happy to announce that we are going to be teaming up with Kendra Mack from Out of This World Reiki to be able to add to our list of services Hospice Care and At Home Euthanasia with the added Reiki component. We are working out all the details so say tuned for up dates.

We are also going to be offering lab sample (blood and urine) collection and testing and vaccine titer testing.

You won’t want to miss Auburn’s Petpalooza on Saturday, May 18 at Game Farm Park. This FREE, special event is designed especially for pet lovers and features a day full of animal-related fun, food, live entertainment and over 160 vendors!

Sound Animal Wellness will be at Auburn’s Petpalooza to promote holistic veterinary medicine! We will have information as well as dog treats and other give aways.

Auburn’s Petpalooza kicks off with a Dog Trot 3K/5K Fun Run at 9:30 a.m. and the event officially opens at 10 am and runs through 5pm at Game Farm Park, 3030 R Street SE, Auburn, WA 98002.

Animal related demonstrations and activities include an entertainment stage, North America Diving Dogs, Seattle Flydogs demos, a free agility course and tons more! Petpalooza features a children’s area that includes a no barrier petting zoo, face painting, a Bug & Critter Zoo, and inflatable rides all offered for free as well as pony rides that are offered for a fee.

The food court features 8 food vendors, offering a variety of food as well as a snack area and various food trucks.

You’ll want to check out the live entertainment stage featuring great tunes and popular animal acts. You may want to participate in the Northwest Pet Contest, which is held at noon. Other live entertainment attractions include a reptile show, a performance from the Parrot Lady and North West Animal Adventures and live music from Portland singer-songwriter, Nate Botsford and his band.

So my horse has been on stall rest recovering from inflammation in the suspensory ligaments of both front legs. I initially treated both front legs with the magnawave (PEMF) for the first 30 days and then at recheck both legs palpated improved and he was no longer sore. The right one was worse than the left originally and just to be safe we decided to rest him another 30 days and then recheck with ultrasound. So I decided that I would only magnawave (PEMF) the right side as I assumed the left side was ok. Yesterday we did the recheck ultrasound and there was a huge difference in the healing of the right over the left! The right was completely healed and good as new and the left still has an abnormal section shown at the bottom of the picture. My experiment was not intentional, but oh my it is really cool to see first hand just how awesome MagnaWave PEMF is at healing/reducing inflammation!! So I am now going to treat the left side for 30 days and we will reultrasound and I will post again.
