“Kiki is the sweetest girl who needed a safe place to stay after a volunteer found her all alone outside. We believe that she may have been dumped, as there were no houses around.
After settling into her foster home, she started to grow and thrive. She is fostered with her bestie Dude, who helped her learn how to play with another kitten. She loves to run, play, and wrestle, and then settle down for a good snuggle. She is a purrer, and will often suckle on her blanket while she makes her biscuits. She also gets along with the small dog in her foster home. Kiki can be a little shy at first, but quickly adjusts and will make the perfect addition to her furever family.”

Meet Shortcake. She was found in a colony we help with where we suspect she was dumped. This is becoming a common problem when cats are turned away from shelters because there is a waiting list. She was skittish and has to learn to trust you but she is also very loving. She likes pets & attention. We suspect she is no older than a year. She has a cute little short bobtail. Meet Forest, who came to us from an untenable situation with way too many cats. We do not have enough fosters to help them all but we are helping as many as we can. Forest is ~2.5 - 3 Mo old.
This is what his foster has to say:
“Forest is the sweetest kitten. He loves to play, loves to be held and is a sweet soul. He gets along well with the other cats in his foster home. One look into his beautiful eyes and you will see that he that he wants nothing more than to be loved and to finally find his forever family.”

It’s that time of year! We will be the rescue for the CFA cat show held at the Crown Plaza Resort on November 21 and 22. We are in need of stewards for both days. We need 5 volunteers each day. It starts at 8 a.m. for training and closes at the end of judging. There is a stipend of $20 and free lunch is provided for stewards. The bonus is you see the show for free! Can you help? Meet Orie (aka Butters) who showed up at a colony we help with and let everyone know she was a displaced pet. Other evidence indicated she was dumped. She had not been altered or microchipped. She has now been spayed and vetted and really is a lovebug. She likes other cats, loves to play and loves pets and attention. She is currently in a foster home but a meet and greet can be arranged. Robin Miller Murdock, our Fairy Cat Godmother, visited Pet Supplies Plus - West Asheville, NC and left a box of goodies in our donation bin. As always, everything was a big hit. We took some purr pops back to the adoption event to let the kitties enjoy a treat. A good time was had by all! Thank you, Robin. You always know what to bring.

Have you met Ricky and Nicky? They are learning about harness and leash training at Patton Avenue Pet Company’s Downtown location. These brothers are amazing! Their sister, Dawn, was adopted today and these 2 want you to know they need to go together. Nicky went to the Vet last week and cried for Ricky the entire time! Drop by the store to meet these amazing boys. At just over 6 months, these boys are full of energy and love to play. They are ameowzing.
