I have 2 first time moms due in a few weeks. I know risky but I am hoping they will both do well. Ginger was bred to Turn. I am hoping for some fun, nonshowable colors in that litter. Fern was bred to Hammer. I will hopefully find out if fern carries dilute. I am expecting mostly blue and black otter but you never know. Fingers crossed.

This new mom is doing an amazing job raising her ducklings. If anyone has any guesses on the color of the ducklings please let me know. Dad is a blue pied and mom is a black pied, however I also have chocolate, blue, and buff hens that all lay in the same nest.

I had to process 20 rabbits today. It is always a hard day but today was especially hard. I was making amazing strides with my otters. At least I thought. Well it turns out I had some genetic issues and ended up having to cull that entire line. I am staring back with 2 bucks and 3 does. It Is always a learning process.

These are only 6 week olds but I feel like I am seeing consistent improvement. These are my favorite does so far from each litter body wise. Of course one is a fox and the other is a blue snowball 😭. But the third is my first black and the 4th is a blue so I’ll take it. Let’s see how these ladies grow.
