We are a month away from our Colesville Trial and we are in need of volunteers. I only have 2 for each trial and that may include my VC. There are a lot of trials on the calendar from multiple hosts, but with that means that we need to remember to volunteer when we can. Teams are getting into more trials but they're not volunteering any more than before. Sometimes teams are getting into multiple trial weekends in a month where one of those would be where the team volunteers instead. Please remember that trials cannot run without volunteers. And when I bring this up, I get comments like, "ask your local scouts group, or high schoolers, etc for volunteers," but does it have to come to hosts asking outside organizations to volunteer at our trials b/c our membership isn't? Please consider volunteering. It really is a great way to train. I actually had an issue recently finding a dog in white for some trials because the trial lacked volunteers or I couldn't get people with dogs at a qualified level willing to come out to DIW and volunteer. Strange!

Just a reminder (about an uptick in friend requests I have been receiving): I don't post events, training, trial info, premiums, signups, etc on my personal page. If you follow this business page or check my Red Huskies Nosework website, you'll get the information. While I appreciate the friendly connection, there is no need to "friend" my personal account unless our paths cross in a more friend-like way or I know you in person. You won't miss out on anything on my personal page you can't find here. Trust me, those friends that I have that are also nosework friends probably get bombarded with pictures unrelated to dogs 😁 and probably have unfollowed me by now anyway!

Poll time! Fair Play British Working Labradors and Red Huskies were wondering if there was any interest anymore for the ELT-P in this area? The last few we had were very limited in entries. I talked to some people and they wanted the title and were "done" after they got it. This is a title you can get x2, x3, and so on. But they seemed to be more interested in the ELT-S given they were half-days. I unfortunately cannot run an ELT-P half day although it seems like they're almost half-day by nature because of low entries. I just couldn't offer two trials that day though. So for our trials in Nov and Dec, should we offer an ELT-P? This would likely replace an ELT, NW3 or ELT-S option offered those weekends if we do. Please "like" the appropriate comment below. Feel free to add comments. If you are not traveling to Maryland or planning on entering our trials in this area, DO NOT vote or comment.
FOLKS: This is for ELT-P (Elite-Premier) not Elite. The difference is you need your Championship to enter the ELT-P. Please no comments on ELT, as I have lots of those on the calendar coming up.

While I may not have trials, I’ll be having some travel classes, training days and seminars coming up. Stay tuned. Look for the first travel class next Sunday evening
Summer is for reconnecting with your dog, resting, relaxing, working on fundamentals and getting ready for prime trial season. I already have a few trials listed on the calendar as early as August! Until then, remember this mama needs to spend some summer vacay with all her kiddos :)

Hey guys! I only have 1 volunteer on the first SMT day and only a few more on the second. I can’t run this trial. I need at least 4 minimum and really I need about 6 considering we drive to searches and have parking staging areas and what not. Score runners will likely drive. Please spread the word asap! Thanks
