Did you peep Cariño in my stories? This cutie pie is a senior at .p.a.m.a.safor shelter near our home. I love that I get to walk and meet some new dogs - Cariño clearly loved sniffing, exploring, and enjoying the sunshine. He also got really animated when we started hopping up on the rocks, and was particularly interested in hanging out with Cassidy. I could see him perking up considerably outside of shelter life, and being a super affectionate and sweet companion 🥰

Riz is ready to work on his virtual lessons with his makeshift kaptop!

Virtual training has been a huge shift - but one that I am really loving. While physically more distant, it allows me to meet clients where they are with their dogs - adjusting assignments to busier weeks, keeping in touch, and reviewing training sessions at home. Any good trainer is ensuring transition of skills, but training virtually means having the time to discuss individual challenges in depth and giving the human side of the leash the support you need to be your dog’s best advocate.

When there is so much more to behavior change than skill building, working virtually lets me see the whole picture for lasting sustainable change.

Starting October 6, introduce odor from the comfort of your couch!
Nosework is often hailed as the perfect sport for the reactive dog but that doesn’t mean the classroom is always the ideal space for them. Virtual courses let you focus on the fun - building behaviors step by step at your dog’s pace.

Whether you completed Introduction to Nosework with me and are ready to dive back in, or finished your introduction in another class that - for reasons of schedule or temperament - you are looking for an alternate way to continue, Odor Foundations is the next step in your Nosework journey… and it’s all online.

Training plans that center around *doing* life, not just performing it. All because of one pit bull and her GSD bestie.

I don’t know nearly as much about cats, but a *lovely* representation on pain affecting behavior - and treatment/understanding of pain strengthening relationships.
