❤️Meet Nala

This is Nala — and from the moment we saw her sweet face and read her story, we knew we had to find a way to help her. We reached out to one of our amazing fosters, Jen Paulus, who said yes immediately, because she knew what we all know: Nala deserves a family of her own.

Nala first came to the shelter back in March — nearly 10 months ago. She arrived with two siblings who have since been adopted… leaving Nala behind. Still waiting. Still hoping. 💔 She’s now approaching one full year without a forever home, and our hearts just can’t let that continue.

Nala, almost a year old, 49lbs, is absolutely gorgeous and, once she feels safe and comfortable, her playful personality begins to shine. She especially loves romping around with her buddy, and watching her confidence grow has been so special. Nala is spayed and up-to-date on all of her vaccines!

She will be arriving to Lifeline Rescue around December 30, and she has a wonderful foster setup waiting for her. But what we truly want — what Nala deserves — is a forever home.

She can be a little nervous when meeting new people at first, but with patience, kindness, and love, Nala blossoms into a loyal, gentle companion. She just needs someone willing to give her the chance she’s been waiting so long for.

She has waited long enough.

Meet Spike! 🐶💙

Spike is a 10-week-old, 15lb, Jack Russell mix, fully vetted and pure puppy perfection. From his bright eyes to that adorable pink-and-black speckled nose, this little guy is guaranteed to melt hearts everywhere he goes. Seriously — his nose alone deserves its own fan club!

Hey fur friends 🐾

It’s me, Hank, checking in with an important message for all my fellow rough-and-tough pups out there whose moms INSIST on making them wear sweaters. 🙄

I mean… come on. We are fearless. We are mighty. We are built for snow, wind, and epic backyard zoomies. What do we need a sweater for?!

But apparently my mom thinks I “look so cute” (her words, not mine) and now she’s talking about buying me more. MORE. As if one wasn’t enough.

I tried to tell her I don’t need it because I’m tough… but then… well… it is kinda warm. And cozy. And it makes me want to curl up and take a nap. 😴

Okay fine. I might like my sweater.
But PLEASE don’t tell my mom that.

🎉 Adoption Announcement: Mogwai (now Jim!) 🎉

Mogwai—now lovingly named Jim—came to us from one of our incredible rescue partners, Kirby Animal Services. He and his brother made the journey all the way to Wisconsin in search of the lives they deserved. While waiting for his forever family, Mogwai landed in a wonderful foster home where he was showered with love and care. 💙

They say good things come to those who wait—and Justin proved that to be true. The moment he saw Mogwai, he knew this sweet boy was what had been missing from his family. Justin patiently waited for Mogwai to become available, and the second he was, he rushed to meet him. It didn’t take long at all for Justin and his son to fall completely in love. Adoption papers were signed, and just like that, Mogwai became Jim, a forever family member. 🐾

Jim is now living his best life, already bonded with his future canine sister, Piper, and surrounded by love, stability, and happiness.

A huge thank you to Deb for fostering Mogwai and giving him a safe, loving place to land while he waited for his person. And thank you, Justin, for choosing rescue and giving this boy the amazing life he deserves.

🎉 ADOPTION CELEBRATION: Jellybean 🎉

One of our amazing shelter partners, ,Kirby Animal Services reached out to us and asked if we could help find a wonderful home for a sweet girl named Jellybean. Of course, we said YES — bring her here, and we’ll find her the family she deserves. And that’s exactly what happened 💕

The moment Jamie saw Jellybean, she just knew. When they met in person, it was instant love — and once Jellybean met the kids, it was game over. They felt it too 🥰
