Our Story
Goldendoodles are an amazing product of a golden retriever and a standard poodle breeding. A first generation hybrid is an F1 and they exhibit hybrid vigor which is a phenomenon in animal breeding referring to the fact the first cross between two unrelated purebred lines is healthier and grows better than either parent’s line. The Goldendoodle breed was first recognized in North America in 1992. They were original crossed to develop guide dogs suitable for visually impaired individuals with allergies. The Goldendoodle is sometimes called a designer dog. The Golden Retriever and Poodle are both water dogs and hunters. The Goldendoodles make great companions for individuals and families.
