🔒 Title Protection Matters: Honoring the Role of Veterinary Technicians 🐾

This week, we’re celebrating the licensed veterinary technicians who bring skill, compassion, and professionalism to every shift. “Vet tech” isn’t just a label — it is a title earned through education, clinical training, and a commitment to high standards of care.

In 2023, North Carolina passed legislation protecting the title “Veterinary Technician,” ensuring that only those credentialed by the NC Veterinary Medical Board can legally use it. This is a major step forward in recognizing the expertise and accountability that licensed vet techs bring to veterinary medicine.
Title protection helps clarify roles, uphold patient safety, and ensure that pet owners know who’s caring for their animals.

🧠💚 World Mental Health Day 💚🧠

In veterinary medicine, we dedicate our lives to caring for animals—but it’s just as important to care for ourselves. Mental health isn’t a luxury; it’s essential. Taking care of our minds helps us be better teammates, better caregivers, and better support for the pets and families who rely on us.

💡 Today, we pause to raise awareness, break the stigma, and remind each other that asking for help is a sign of strength—not weakness. Together, we can build a veterinary community that’s compassionate not just for our patients, but for ourselves and our colleagues.
