Denise does not do clinics often and is offering her expertise FREE of charge. There will be a small facility fee of $75 per horse.

A $25 jackpot will be held afterward for clinic participants. This clinic will only have 15 spots available. Awards will be offered.

Day 1 Cowboy Clinics in Elgin Texas. Commencing basic farrier education. How to identify proper farrier care, what to look for with angles and hiring a competent farrier. All of our students get to have taste of trimming, filing and shaping the hoof, so they get an appreciation for the skill, strength and patience it takes to be a good farrier.

We got a couple of steers back from the processor yesterday. We experimented with a new program so weren't quite sure what to expect with the finished product. These are mini/midsize Heritage Herefords that were grass fed with rotational grazing methods and slow growth. We did a textured corn blend feed and alfalfa added the last 6 months. Between 2-3 yrs old. These cattle lived naturally with plenty of space to move. Low pressure life with shelter from storms, fly control, clean water and a clean environment to live in. *Low stress = tender beef*

We only work with butchers that will allow a full day to rest and relax after hauling. We believe this is important to allow the adrenaline to settle out and not affect the finished product. We dry aged the beef for a minimum of 12 days. Extremely happy with the fat cap, marbling and overall appearance.The taste is clean, mild but beefy and so tender. This beef is as tender as HEB prime and can be cut with a butter knife. I'd put this beef up against any prime steak house!
