Gemma. This is my 1st rescue. The 1st couple of pictures were when she was taken from Moores in the Lebanon area. She was one of the standards there that were being sent to the killpen. I don’t know what it was that made me rescue her…I did feel that Diamond needed a companion. But when I saw her on Horse Angels rescue…my heart just gravitated to her. I knew she would always be a companion horse. She was so very emaciated. Horse Angels and Penny helped me with quarantine, vet, and farrier. I brought her to where I was boarding Diamond. And let me tell you…they hit it off right away. Diamond even let her to me and I do believe she told her that I was a good person. And after that, she was better with allowing me to love her. She is my hard keeper. She has put on weight. Still very slender but she is doing well. She is very much attached to Diamond still

Diamond. The 1st of many.

My 1st dragon….Diamond. She was not a rescue. I was fortunate to find Diamond on Facebook and connected with her trainer. She is perfect in every way. It’s been an adventurous year for us. I brought her here and boarded her initially. I got her home in March with her best friend who was boarded with her. Then my barn burned down. Though her area was not affected by the fire, she and her best mate moved with the other 4 to the temporary field. Now, she is the boss. “Heavy is the head that wears the crown.” It will be interesting to see how the hierarchy changes once everyone is in the same barn and field.

I’ve started a new adventure! You are welcome to share it with me.

I decided I wanted a horse. I found Diamond, my heart horse. And of course she needed a friend. I came across Gemma, who was at a last stop shop in Lebanon, Pa before being shipped off to a bad end and with the help of Penny Parker and Horse Angels, I was able to save her. As we all know with Facebook, once you start looking into things on there, you get more!!! Found Stroud kill pen in Oklahoma. Saved Luna, Zorya, Willow, Wednesday, Odessa, and Lady Sofia. We gave Lady Sofia 5 wonderful weeks full of love and companionship before having to say goodbye. Can’t have an odd number of horses so back to Lebanon, Pa to get Leonidas(Leo). My Dragons. Hence the name….Welcome to Berk Ranch. I get the honor to work with and train….Dragons
