This week, my oldest kiddo (who doesn’t ride often) went for their first solo ride on Bella. I bought Bella in 2004, just shy of her 2nd birthday. I started her under saddle back when I had no clue what I was doing, and then we learned the ins and outs of the jumper ring together. She went through all the trials and tribulations of my working student years with me, and was the horse I started my professional career on. Since that time, she has taught countless riders, and given confidence back to so many. It was an incredible feeling, realizing a horse I trained, from start to finish, is now teaching my tiny human🥰
