Heather's Angels Pet Rescue

Heather's Angels Pet Rescue So many pets are abandoned, abused or neglected. Especially senior furs. This page was created to f Hi! WE NEED to find a safe haven for them. SO, SO MUCH! Nope.

My name is Heather, and the new founder of Heather's Angels Pet Rescue. My goal is to help other rescues to find a foster or furever homes for any pet that is in dire need. I KNOW they all are, and I'm reaching out to help, SHARE and PROMOTE these beautiful babies. We'll always find a way to get them in the 'safe FUR zone' as I now call it. :)

A little about me. My mom was a Bassett Hound breeder

before I was born. I was raised with the BEST of them too! :) After that, I was endeared with 2 Dalmations (fire dogs!), and 3 Golden Retreivers. I also took in stray cats and just loved them all. I so LOVED these babies. I really got into Rescue on May 7, 2007 (yep! Cinco de Mayo) while at Pet Smart. Adopted the BIGGEST cat I could find. His name was Capone. Funny, playful and just a talker. Then I had a friend who was moving from CA to TN and he was going to take her to the pound. Took her too! :) Sadly, Capone passed on 4/29/15. I love him so. Cody is thriving and demanding. :) Typical gal. Now it brings me to the profile picture, Maya. I was denied SO MANY times to be a furever mommy. I didn't understand and pleaded with the rescues. My friends rallied for me and nothing. They said, 'Someone will let you adopt a baby when the time is right.' And that day came! And I have my Maya! :)

Never give up on ANY baby. If you CAN FOSTER OR if you can give a baby a furever home, please let us know.. Ask questions and throw that love out there. These babies are family too. And if you ever see abuse or know someone abusing animals, or ANYONE, PLEASE, PLEASE report it to the authorities. Everyone's lives matter. Including YOURS! Thank you! Heather

REBEL is such a sweet natured baby and great with other dogs. Why his foster turned him in is beyond me.

As an owner of the bully breed, they are SO SWEET! However, they are given a bad rap. WHY? SH*TTY owners. PERIOD. Proper TRAINING and ATTENTION are always a constant with both pets and their humans to ensure all family members are not only happy, but SAFE.

REBEL is a really sweet baby, and super chill. And KISSES!!!

Tyrone is a good-natured, 7-year-old dark gray-and white male pitbull mix who came into the shelter as a stray on July 2nd. Tyrone is consistently easy to handle, only pulling moderately when he gets excited. In the gentle/dainty playgroups, Tyrone is social and non-reactive with other dogs. Overall, he has medium energy and is a pretty sweet guy who would do best in a family with kids ages middle school and older; Tyrone would also need to be in a private home with a yard.

LUCKY is the opposite of his name right now after 10 years of living with his family he was left at the Shelter completely heartbroken and confused because the owner needs to travel for work. He needs help and he deserves so much better, he is a sweet, gentle soul. Please SHARE for his life, he's SO special and a FOSTER or ADOPTER would save him. Thanks!

UPDATE! According to his Assessment they want him in a home with No dogs? 😞 ASSESSMENT Lucky was sleeping in his bed when the runner approached. The runner called out to him, he got up and greeted the runner with a relaxed body posture, soft eyes, neutral tail, neutral ears and closed mouth. He was able to be easily and safely removed from his kennel. He walked nicely on leash but when he wanted to mark, he completely stopped on would not move until he was done. He approached a few dogs in kennel with a tense body and high tail. The runner coaxed him along, he eventually made it to the yard. He was easily collared. He lied down inside the catch pen and watched the dogs with a relaxed body posture, soft eyes and open pant. He was allowed into the yard where he greeted the dogs with a fast high tail, perked up body posture, closed mouth and ears up. He went off and kept to himself, marking several areas in the yard. He then became sexually motivated and tried mounting several dogs. He was easy to steer away. One of the dogs was being led out by the leash, he jumped on the dog and growled but was able to be corrected by the handler. He then went off and kept to himself. He would occasionally try to mount but grew tired quickly. He then went to lie down in the yard by himself. He had a gentle/dainty playstyle and he is selective of other dogs. He will be available for public adoption with middle school aged children or older, No other dogs is required because of his tendency pick on kick me sign dogs or dogs
in distress.
