As a trainer, I have educated myself on vast amount literature related to canines as well as immersed myself in one on one personal experiences. I have studied their health, their individual character traits, their personalities, their behaviors (positive and negative ), their abilities, their inabilities and most importantly how they communicate. Communication is key in all relationships. It is crucial to understand that dogs are dogs. Dogs have specific dog behaviors and instincts. They sense danger. They smell negative energy and can sense/smell things we may not understand. They will communicate with each other & us if we are willing to pay close attention. They will protect their own (including their humans that they have bonded with) and they will be silly and explore. Not every injury is life threatening. Some truly occur from fun exploratory adventures.

Also, it is imperative not to make assumptions about one dog’s health. We must use our common sense and true evidentiary facts at hand.

Age, living conditions, how we care for them, and environmental factors all play a role in your pet’s overall health. It’s important to take all of that into consideration when evaluating your pet’s health. ❤️
And be willing to understand. 😊

This is Rex! A sweet lab who is on a cable outside the majority of the day because he wanders and has very poor recall. I am helping address his behavior and calming him down to show his owners/my client how he “CAN” interact and “STAY” if he feels well bonded and loved. He desires freedom and attention and that’s what I’m here to provide. Structured freedom along with positive reinforcement will encourage Rex to “WANT” to come or stay home. So that no cable is necessary for restraint. It all starts with us! We are our dog’s teachers and caregivers just like children. We have to show them love and how to behave or they WILL act out. 🩵😊

Meeting a new client’s foster dog for the first time. *Note: He was initially growling as he was RESOURCE GUARDING his food.

From abuse & neglect, Roscoe learned to protect his food supply in fear of it being taken away. This can be challenging to correct. It takes a lot of love and trust for dogs especially rescues to feel safe and know the human in front of them is not going to harm them or keep food from them. Praise God for Foster Mom Kayla who is working with the OKC Animal Shelter and myself as trainer to get sweet Roscoe adopted. We need more humans like her. ❤️
