Late Euro going home. This head was started with dermestid beetles but they didn’t clean it enough. I finished it up and bleached it.

Having a good time at the Illinois Taxidermy Association’s Convention this weekend. This was the first coyote I’ve ever mounted as well as the largest piece I’ve ever done. I’ve learned a lot about the anatomy of mammals that I’ll bring to my future mounts. Came away with a 3rd place in the commercial division. Not as well as I’ve done in the past couple years however the more animals I do, the more I learn to improve.

This fan came in pretty wrecked…muddy and wet. The turkey flopped in a creek and broke a few feathers. I cleaned er up best as I could.
