This is my first customer Drake Mallard. I got my federal taxidermy license this winter to mount migratory birds. Birds are a whole different beast than mammals. I’m enjoying them though and the process is getting easier as I do more.

Lyle’s “Buck in da Truck”. Last year Lyle and I went on his first ever hunt during the second shotgun season. I still had a Buck tag to burn and he wanted a Buck in the truck. I shot the first deer that walked out. He’s now hanging next to the first deer I ever mounted above his bed. 🤣 (He knows not to be jumping on his bed and bumping it)

Boy his smile is infectious.

Another Euro cleaned up and went home yesterday.

Merry Christmas! This young lady was surprised this morning by her first buck hanging on the wall. It was a pleasure to taxi this one as it had a rare double throat patch.

This euro was a deadhead found never seen before by the hunter or any of his trail cameras. It was brought to me how it was found with some velvet left and a really dirty skull. There was already some chewed antlers so I repaired those. I don’t typically paint euros but this one wouldn’t bleach up as white as I like them to be. The metallic burnt orange will really pop in the right lighting.

Finishing up some of my first euro mounts this season. This is one Ruby and I found back in October. Think of us this next weekend during firearm season! Goodluck!
