- A Continued Statement from Moonlight Mantids -
In light of a selectively shared screenshot from our previous collaboration, from a private conversation, dated April 17th, 2025, we feel it is important to respond with clarity and professionalism.
We want to make it known that the website we built for our former collaborator—entirely from scratch—has been paid in full. Despite repeated false claims, we have been transparent and communicative throughout this process. On Monday, July 21st, we clearly stated three separate times that the website was fully settled, without question.
In addition, we repeatedly requested a detailed inventory from the collaborator outlining the mantids exchanged as they claim we have not returned all of their inventory — excluding the cost of the website, feeders we purchased to raise their mantids, and the significant labor hours we invested nurturing their insects from L2 to breeding age. Those requests were ignored.
This situation escalated to the point where they involved law enforcement. After law enforcement reviewed the evidence, we were advised to block the individuals across all platforms and, if necessary, change our contact information. We regret that others may have been pulled into this unfortunate narrative, and we are working swiftly to distance our business from this negativity.
We have 803 pages of complete communication records and are fully prepared to provide them to the appropriate authorities if needed. We remain committed to full transparency and integrity.
This is a tough but valuable reminder for all businesses: keep records, document everything, and always protect your work with clear contracts.
