Let me introduce myself.
I grew up right here in Cheektowaga, New York and attended the Nichols School. Growing up we always had animals in our house. Anything from dogs, to turtles, to rabbits. I learned at a young age that animals are family members and the human-animal bond is truly remarkable.
I attended Mercyhurst University in Erie, Pennsylvania where I majored in biology and was fortunate enough to play Division I Ice Hockey for four years and captain the team my senior year. GO LAKERS! From there I earned my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree from the University of Missouri in 2016. Upon graduation I moved back to Buffalo and have been practicing in general practice at Southtowns Animal Hospital ever since.
In between all the hockey and studying I was lucky enough to meet my husband, Conor. He is a hard-working dairy farmer and ultimately it was our love of animals that brought us together. Our dogs, Jack and Cooper, keep us on our toes. They are looking forward to the arrival of their human brother or sister in June 2022. In our down time you can probably find us outdoors. We love to spend time with family at the farm or the lake. In the winter, snowsports are a must- Pond hockey, snowboarding, and snowmobiling.
My passion has always been to help people by helping their animals. I work full time in general practice providing wellness care, sick/critical care, and surgical/dental care. My 6 years working in practice made me realize that there was something missing in veterinary medicine with regard to end-of-life care. Our animals are part of the family and deserve to be treated in such a manner. What better way to honor the human-animal bond than by having the option to say good-bye to your beloved furry family member in the most intimate, peaceful setting you can think of- Your own home. Providing this service has filled my heart with so much love and I am genuinely honored to help each and every family give the ultimate gift of love.
