Beach Boy is still in need of his forever home. He’s been temperament tested and obedience trained by none other than Bryan Bailey. He’s young, fully vetted, and dog and kid friendly. We recommend older children as he’s 60 lbs of muscle and can easily, albeit accidentally, knock a small child over. He’s not a fan of cats. If interested, please contact us here. Also, he needs all the shares he can get. Thanks!

Please share our MWR alums. They’re so deserving of love.

Please share our MWR alums. They’re so deserving of love.

When a longtime rescuer in Memphis passed away unexpectedly last year, Paws NE stepped in to help some of the senior dogs left behind at Suzy Young’s rescue. All gentle souls who suddenly found themselves without a home.

Thanks to some kind vet partners in Memphis, we got them started with the care they needed—vaccines, dentals, heartworm treatment—but ongoing vetting for seniors adds up quickly, and it’s been a stretch.

Many of the dogs we took in have found wonderful homes - we’ve got some sweetie pies still available! In total we have taken 19 dogs and paid most of the vetting for them.

They are truly wonderful dogs. Sweet, mellow, affectionate—and now thriving in foster care. If you’ve ever thought about adopting a senior, these pups will melt your heart.

And if adoption isn’t in the cards right now… just knowing you’re cheering them on means the world. 💛

It’s official: Beach Boy is an honor’s graduate from the Academy for Canine Behavior and Training. Here he is with Bryan Bailey, his trainer and hero. He leaves school on Monday. If you’re interested in fostering or adopting Beach Boy, contact us here. Please share and let’s get the word out. A fantastic dog trained by the equally fabulous trainer/behaviorist, Bryan Bailey, is currently seeking the perfect home!

Beach Boy concludes his training with Bryan Bailey this week. Unfortunately he doesn’t have any potential adopters yet. He’s a great dog, passed his temperament test with flying colors, and now he’s received basic obedience training from one of the greats. He’s heart worm negative, completely vetted and ready for a new home. Please share his videos and tell people about him. He’s the last of Suzy’s dogs, and he currently has no place to go. Contact us here at Meadow Wood for more information.

Wow, wouldn’t we all like our dogs to behave this way when meeting a strange dog on the road! Beach Boy is such a gentleman. Please share and let’s get this boy a home.

While Bryan is on vacation, Beach Boy continues his education with one of Bryan’s highly skilled trainers. He’s really loving school, and he’s a very quick study.

Beach Boy, day 3 obedience training.

If you’ve ever had a dog that bolts out of doors and/or cars, you know why the “wait” command is so important. I may be biased, but BB is so smart. Total Valedictorian material.

Day 2 obedience training. Beach Boy learning place and stay. So far he’s a rockstar. Some lucky adopter is going to get one fabulous dog trained by Bryan Bailey.
