It's been a while since I posted any completed logo projects, which is not to say I haven't completed any logo projects. I just haven't posted them here. To remedy that, here's a logo that the Itchy Dog scratched out for Stringfellow Tailored. Owner Denise Stringfellow does amazing custom leather work, specializing in "chaps, chinks and leggins". She wanted a logo that conjures up the sense of a brand (in the literal sense) with a hint of stringed instrument flair because that holds personal meaning to her as well. You should really check out her work.

I post this every year at this time. Graphic designers know ALL about kerning and tracking; it means to adjust the space between letters and across the entire word for maximum clarity. As many people will be putting up "flickering lights" over the next few weeks, let this be a reminder not to underestimate the power of a graphic designer!

The Itchy Dog recently scratched out a new logo for a repeat client, for their hay growing farm in Kittitas County. They wanted something very simple that resembled a brand, that communicated the words Noble (for another operation they own growing Noble firs), and River (for a dog training business they also own, River Dog Canine Coaching).

Scratching out a logo that meets (or exceeds) the expectations of the client is the paramount goal of the Itchy Dog. And while not every logo design is going to scream, "Wow!" the client loved this. It's for a website that provides a unique online identity for folks to upload all the tools necessary in a job search: resume, cover letter, LinkedIn account, and other social medias.

The itchy dog recently scratched out a new logo for a newly-launched business by a guy with lots of previous experience as a carpenter. The logo may look simple, but the process to get there entailed exploring several different designs. Almost always, less is more.

A short while go the Itchy Dog scratched out a logo for a patent paralegal firm. Apparently the patent process can be daunting, so they provide guidance. Like a compass, which is, in turn, a key element in their logo.

Every day this week has been an ongoing, Open House Christmas Party here at Itchy Dog Productions, where guests/clients stop by for good cheer and merriment. Actually it has been a little slow—we're still waiting for the first folks to stop by.

But it's only Wednesday. Things should pick up at any moment.
