Two group classes scheduled for March!

THIS Saturday 3/4 at noon @ the NC museum of Art In Raleigh. We will be doing a pack walk! Walking a popular trail with high distractions and in closer proximity to other dogs!

3/25 at 10AM @ piney wood park in Durham. This class is all about the PLACE command. Please bring a dog bed (an elevated place bed is preferred but not required). Lots of distractions, lots of practical applications, lots of fun :)

As always, classes are $35. Please remember to being a variety of treats including something irresistible to your dog— think hot dogs, cheese, etc. RSVP with me and I can tell you where our meeting location this Saturday will be :)

Also please share! We are just getting started again after our two year hiatus and could use the reccs!

See you all soon!

Hi all!

Just wanted to update you on our current offerings. We are still taking on PRIVATE LESSONS for existing and new clients! This applies for the triangle AND Greenville/Winterville, so please help us spread the word if you can!

Also, y’all are always free to spilt up private lessons with up to 3 friends total! It would be a good way to lower individual costs, but get more 1-on-1 attention then our group classes 🙂 so if there is something you and a few other pups want to work on shoot it my way and we can get something set up!

Getting our life together in a new city has been tough— but Marcus has some interviews for work until school starts and I have a small project I’m working on myself (stay tuned ❤️). My life will never be complete without dog training, so I’m really hoping to keep it up in the form of lessons to go with our new life here! We are continually grateful for this community and all you do for us! ❤️

There are many perks to bringing home a dog during quarantine, the biggest being most of us are home all of the time!

However, as this last year of COVID has progressed, we are seeing more and more behavioral issues arise. This could be separation anxiety, lack of socialization with humans/dogs, general fearfulness, etc.

There are some fairly COVID safe ways to still get your dogs out and about. Lowe’s is our favorite place to train. The aisles are large and the space is very open, so you can steer clear of other humans super easily. This gives your dog a chance to hear loud noises, experience new surfaces, see new people (with masks), and train!

Of course, if you don’t wear a mask, please don’t train your dog in public, please refrain from these activities for the safety of others 💙

Happy training!

If this last year has taught me anything, it’s that life is unpredictable.

You may remember me posting about the number 3 popping up everywhere lately. The triple rainbow over our 3 dogs on our 3rd wedding anniversary during 3 days in hatteras. 3 years in our house on Timmons. Marcus’ soccer jersey is 3. My gas mileage the other day stopped at 333.3 at fill up 🤯 needless to say, I looked up the meaning. The number 3 is said to represent spirit guide telling you you’re in the right path. You’re making the right tough choices for your future— just listen, believe, and give in to the journey. And boy, did I need to hear that.

Today, in Greenville, we toured a cute little home in a cute neighborhood. I fell in love, but it turned out that the house had just sold. That’s when my dad handed me the keys 🥺🥺 it’ll be our cute little home for the next 4 years

Finding a house so soon does change some things, and that sadly means CCHEM will have to adjust earlier than expected. My parents need to sell the house we rent from them now, so March (the THIRD month of the year 🤯) will sadly be our last month 😭 I will still come back for occasional group classes and lessons! To say hi and to hug on your dogs, but we are also ready for our next journey in life. If you’ve booked with us after March, I will reach out and talk to you.

Lastly, if you know anyone that would be interested in taking up the CCHEM mantle and possibly purchasing the amazing business you’ve helped us build (or if you can direct us to someone that can help us do this!) please reach out to me!

This has been a wild ride and I’m so proud to be a small part of this wonderful community ❤️ you all bring me more joy than you could ever know. Thank you 🙏

This morning we got to make a special delivery to an extra special local business that our pupscout parents have been raving about! was the first recipient of amazing donations from our group workshops! We were able to leave a $350 tip thanks to you all!

What’s even better? That beautiful and talented barista extraordinaire in this pic happens to be a Pupscout parent herself 🥰🥰

I’m continually grateful to be a small piece of an amazing community! Let’s keep training and keep raising money for local servers and small businesses!

Welcome two our two newest Hazelnut and Griffin 🥰
They both come from separate households, but to the surprise of all of us, their owners actually work together! A small CCHEM world!

Both of these cute pups are here to get some solid obedience under their belts with some day training this week 🥰 we are so excited to share their progress!

TRAINING UPDATE:

Happy 🥰

My schedule has been filling up super quick and we’ve had a ton of new training requests lately (WHICH IS AWESOME!), but I feel like because of that there isn’t as much room in my calendar for our current Pupscouts. Because of this, I’ve decided that this week will be the final week to reach out to us to become a new client. If you’re already on our schedule or already have an eval lined up (or we are in the process of setting one up), don’t worry, we will still make it happen!

But as of this coming Monday, January 11th, we will no longer be accepting new clients. This is for everything EXCEPT OUR GROUP WORKSHOPS. These will always be open to whoever wants to attend because we want to raise as much money as we can for our community!

I’m hoping this will open up my calendar a bit more so we will have more space to train with our current Pupscouts before we move ❤️

Thank you all for being so understanding and encouraging during this uncertain time for us! ❤️ Please reach out to me if you have any questions!
