Many of you know our little Ed is special, but I donโt think Iโve ever shared his full story.From the day Ed was born, we knew he was going to have a different journey.
Ed was born with hydrocephalus, a condition that causes excess fluid around the brain. There were a lot of unknowns in those early weeks, and honestly, there were times we didnโt know what his future would look like. We simply took it one day at a time and celebrated every little milestone.Iโm incredibly thankful to say that Edโs soft spot has completely closed, he doesnโt require any medication, and he continues to do amazingly well. He still has a few quirky habits that make himโฆ well, Ed. But he doesnโt know heโs different, and we wouldnโt change his sweet personality for anything.If youโve followed Q N Frenchie Farms for a while, youโve watched him grow from a tiny puppy into the goofy little guy who now goes camping, explores everywhere with us, and has completely stolen our hearts. Heโs become our mascot without ever trying.
One thing thatโs important to me is being transparent. Even though Ed is thriving, he will never be part of our breeding program. As breeders, our responsibility is always to put the health and future of the breed first. We love Ed exactly as he is, and because we love him, that decision has never been a difficult one.Ed has taught me more than I could have imagined. Heโs reminded me that life doesnโt have to be perfect to be full of joy. Sometimes the dogs who need a little extra care end up giving us the most in return.Thank you to everyone who has loved him, prayed for him, and followed his journey. We canโt wait to keep sharing many more adventures with our favorite little sidekick. โค๏ธ
