These two absolutely sweet little ones have been waiting for what seems like forever to find a home. At first we were told they were bonded from the place we pulled them from in Oklahoma even though they came in seperate there but seemed to like eachother, which they do but she bosses him. They can be seperated. Diva can go into anyhome but Peanut would prefer a person or family all to himself or with a gentle dog. We will search for one more week and if no luck we will search for another shelter to help find them a home as it seems we can not find one within' our community and maybe need to span out a little.

We always hold on to Hope, even when losing ours.
Yesterday we had to say good by to our beautiful girl Hopie. 😭💔
She went from a 14 lb. gorgeous mascot of Whispurring Hope Rescue to a 4.2 lb. precious old lady over a few months time. Kidney disease is cruel and devastating on the body but after slowly starving to death and spraining her fragile bones in her leg, Hopes meow became almost silent and I knew it was time to say goodbye to my heart and soul. I hold my composer for her but inside I am crushed. Our home will never sound the same without her in it but she will remain in our hearts and in our home forever.
My little mouser, bird chaser and rainbow watcher. You have now entered the golden gates of the rainbow bridge. When its mamas turn, I will come look for you and Cinny and Payton Rose and Sweet Camie and also my old Maverick.
You are free from pain and suffering, run fast and fly high on those angel wings you have earned. I will miss you everyday dolly, my sweetest HopieDope.

Tyke is up for adoption

This kid is looking for his forever home. He is 1yr old. He is the best dog ever. He needs lots of attention. Loves to play tug of war and give kisses. He loves to play in a pool of water. He loves to play with others dogs, next door or at the dog park. Tyke will come with all his things, his current foster absolutely loves Tyke and is very connected to him, Tyke was to be a friend to our fosters son but he has recently moved out and foster is about to have 2 knee surgeries. He needs a new home where he will get lots of attention and running energy off. He really is a good pup.

UPDATE: Mae and her little family of fur balls have been moved into one of our awesome foster homes and is doing well.

We are still urgently searching for a foster for Momma Mae and her eight puppies. Vicky, who whelped this litter, is committed to ensuring their well-being, safety, and health. Ideally, we envision Momma Mae in a family-oriented home setting, where she can be an integral part of daily life, as Vicky's busy schedule with the rescue precludes this. Fortunately, the puppies and Momma Mae are thriving, and she has demonstrated a friendly demeanor. As a golden doodle/blue heeler mix, Momma Mae is a lovely dog.

Volunteers needed!

We are looking for 2 or 3 Volunteers to help at our little cat shelter. Cleaning and socializing a few mornings a week and weekends if available.
Also
We need someone to work with and socialize a couple dogs we have and on a daily basis. Please apply here to volunteer, may get a small weekly fee to work with dogs.

Mia is at a trial visit with a potential adopter.

This poor girl has been at petsmart in Dubuque for 3 weeks and not one interest in her. She is a sweet gal that likes her person but does not like to be bothered by other felines.
Going forward we will be announcing a adoption fee FREE pet. You will still need to apply and be approved and follow our adoption contract and protocols.
Mia is our pet of the week to start with and as soon as she finds a home we will announce another.
If you have a quiet, care free home, Mia is the girl for you. Please consider giving her a lifetime of love in a home with no bars and only windows full of sunshine and a lap to snuggle in. She may be scared the first few days as she has never had a place to call home.

Vickys facebook is still down, we are in need of short term foster for 5 kittens, all eating and using the litter box. Foster is going on vacation and leaving early morning so foster needed this afternoon please until they return.
