This is the most horrific case of horse neglect I have ever seen. Just because the owner didn't call a farrier this horse suffered greatly! Please don't turn a blind eye to this sort of neglect, if any of you see a horse heading in this direction please call me. I will take care of it for no financial compensation and help in finding the horse a happy home!

This horse had huge abscesses in his front feet, after treatment I made a hospital plate for him so that the owner could keep the sole clean and still treat the affected area daily by removing the plate with a wrench. I will keep you updated as to his progress.

Shod my last horse for today, now of to the airport to catch the red eye flight to Lexington KY for the American Farriers Association Convention. Looking forward to learning some new ideas and meeting up with fellow Farriers from around the world. It will be fun!

Its has been a great few days at the International Hoof Care Summit here in Cincinnati, meeting lots of friends and making new ones. A great event with lots of new ideas to take home and use.
