12/20/2025
I don’t know if I can fully put into words the unexpected surprises 2025 has already brought us. I often wonder what it would feel like to have a “normal” year, one not filled with ambitious goals and seemingly impossible tasks we set for ourselves. But when that year comes, I’m not sure it would even feel like our life. After all, what is this life for if not to grow, to challenge ourselves, and to pursue what once felt impossible?
Since starting CK Equestrian in 2023, we dreamed about owning our own farm, expanding our business, living and working on the same property, and creating an incredible place to raise a family while continuing to chase both personal and professional ambitions.
This year, months before our daughter Louisa was born, an opportunity presented itself far sooner than we ever imagined possible. The timing wasn’t perfect, but I’m realizing it never is.
Now that I finally have a moment to pause and reflect, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude.
To our families, who supported us endlessly during this move while we navigated one of the biggest transitions of our lives, becoming parents, thank you.
To our clients and staff, who donated their time and talents and showed incredible patience as we relocated all the horses and immediately began projects and renovations at the barn, thank you.
Special thanks as well to the Nummers who shared their home with us these past few years! We loved being at your facility and were grateful for your support in all of this.
We have so many dreams and plans for this property. Our goal is to continue developing it into a top-notch training facility for our horses and clients, while also creating a space to host clinics and educational events for riders in our community.
We can’t wait to share this journey with all of you. 💛
A friend recently shared a quote with me that felt very fitting:
“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely… but to arrive worn out, thoroughly used up, and loudly proclaiming, ‘Wow! What a ride!’”
