A PSA TO SPAY AND NEUTER: I’m Hester! I’m new to this foster thing. I was taken to the vet the day after the big move for spay surgery. I am 3 and a half years old, and the Doctor found some lumps in my uterus. My sister had them too! We are going to be fine, thankfully they looked like endometrial tissue. But it could have been different!
Our friend, MIyuki, the Angorra, her lumps were cancer. The cancer was removed with the uterus so we are keeping our paws crossed that it doesn’t come back. All this costs money - something we are tight on right now - please help us continue to help.

TRR volunteers suspected our man Gleoite (Glo-cha) would be deaf due to his coloring. Just as many all white cats with blue eyes carry a gene for deafness, it’s the same for Blue Eye White rabbits, especially lops. Gleoite was not ‘bunny-ing’ like a bun with full hearing, so we matched him with Shima, who took his care over very seriously. Gleoite has relaxed and seems relieved to have someone to help him navigate his world. This adorable couple is available for adoption 🐰🐰🐰🐰

The tale of Lucky Rabbit

My new name is Lucky. I’m one lucky rabbit. I wandered away from my home base and was living outside in a rural area for several weeks. I am lucky I was not caught by a predator, seeing that I have white fur. I am lucky a family moved into this house I was hanging around on a day it wasn’t raining so much. I’m lucky they have a small child who was excited to explore the yard. I’m lucky the family called a vet who gave them the contact info for TRR. I’m lucky Village Vet could take me on emergency and assess the terrible state I was in.

My body was shutting down because my teeth were growing up into the roof of my mouth and down into the lower jaw so I couldn’t eat or drink. The doctors couldn’t open my jaw to take a picture of what was really going on in there. I have been at the vet since Tuesday and will be getting discharged to a skilled foster for the weekend until my digestive system is back in sync, and then back to the family who found me.
I am Lucky, and I’m asking if you can spare some change or donate the cost of a coffee for a day to help cover the expenses TRR has incurred to get me back on my feet. I’ll need to have routine dental trims and eventually I’ll be neutered as well. I’m so lucky to have so many people care about me.

Wiley is a girl 🐰🐰

Wiley has been outdoors long enough to lose weight and pick up some fleas and intestinal parasites. Safe now, Wiley is enjoying a nice meal and the first round of selamectin in a comfy pen. We’ll need to work with Wiley before she’s available for adoption.
