Merry Christmas Eve everyone!!

This is Sophie.

She was my most favorite visitor to last year's event for personal reasons. This lovely, gentle, and sweet lil girl meant the world to a neighbor friend of ours. When I saw that she had arrived to have her portrait taken with Santa, it had made the entire day worth so much more to me on an emotional level. It was the most beautiful part of the day.

It's the moments like those which have fulfilled me the most in my photography journey. Those are the times which make me realize that what I do leaves an impression on the hearts of many that will last for years to come.

This portrait thing matters a lot to people when I find they seem to need it most, and that is all the reason in the world for me to want to engage with this on a more deeper level going forward.

These connections are important to us and through photography I will continue to honor these little beings in the ways that I know best.

I'm excited for the year ahead as I know many of you are.

Thank you to all who have supported my journey so far, you're appreciated in ways that words have a hard time expressing.

Here's Buffy!
Last year we had so much fun at this event. What a great success all around. It was a steady stream of pets with their people and we were quite surprised at the variety of animals that showed up.

Well, folks, that's a wrap!! What a great year!

I gave it all I had, but quite a few back injuries kept me away from being able to offer pet portraits throughout 2024.
The great news is that I'm finally seeing a spine specialist to figure out what's going wrong in there. This way I can get back to having fun and crawling all over the place with your pets again.

The plan is to be offering outdoor sessions in springtime!!

Doctor's orders are in... I'm out of commission for the time being.

This is a difficult post for me to make, but it has to be put out there.

I started Boop Snoot Photoshoot to compensate for my lack of physical abilities when it comes to the other professional photography services that I have offered in the past. Some days it is really painful to "do my job" and I thought this would be a safer path forward while keeping my conditions in mind.

I have an aggressive vascular disease that limits me and have lived a life with reoccurring debilitating back injuries on top of that. Recently my back gave out and left me unable to roll around on the floor with your pets during sessions for the time being. Currently it's difficult to even hold a camera up in any fashion. So... I am going to have to refer my incoming clients to other pet photographers that I trust in my area for now. This is only temporary until I can get my body back in shape to continue on with this adventure.

I came into this with great intentions and motivations to build something that I'm capable of doing without adding too much stress to an already disabled body. I've put a lot of work, effort, and money into kicking this off and in knowing that, its giving me the inspiration to finally get my back looked at in more depth and see if there is a path forward to getting some relief so I can get back to having fun with you folks and your pets.

The studio is closed up and packed away. When the time comes, I will begin again by offering outdoor sessions.

Brady.

Many of the sessions I have done over the past couple of years have been towards the tail ends of pet's lives. This is not meant to be a sad post. It's just a realization that I've come across after going through files from previous sessions lately. Fact is, that the majority of them have been for this sort of reasoning.

Part of me weighs heavily knowing that they won't be the last ones that I do. However, to honor these souls in the best way I can, leaves me feeling that what I do matters when the time comes. Its valued beyond what words can express. I cannot begin to tell you how grateful I am to have shared these moments with your pets, especially when the time you have left with them is most precious.

I met Brady and her caretaker, Sara, at a promotional event at Pet Supplies Plus. A few weeks later I saw the name come through my website and we set up a session for the ole boy. I was warned ahead of time that he isn't good on wooden floors, and neither is our 3 legged dog, Eli, so luckily the studio area was already spread with carpets and foam mats to assist with the gripping and stability aspect of things.

She had mentioned towards the end of the session that he's big on kisses and that was one of her favorite things about him. So I said, "We should capture that. Let him give you a smooch!", and this is what we created together.

Pets have a way of introducing new people and friends into our lives when we least expect it, and need it most. Some times those folks stick around as lifetime friends. Pets have a way of strengthening bonds beyond their own little worlds and it leaves pawprints upon many hearts as they go along. We sure are lucky to have these little treat junkies?!

Oh, I absolutely do!!!

Here you can read about an experience I had last year with this goofy, majestic, and very special horse named Jester and her passionate caretaker's connection and relationship with one another.

What came from this session left me quite emotionally moved and very grateful for what I do for my local community.

I had the pleasure of meeting Shire at last weeks craft fair event where we promoted our pet related services to the town of Middleton NH Recreation. This was one of the images that we created in our short session together. She was such a good girl and had a very "old soul" kind of a vibe to her. Give it up for the ole gal!!

Get out there and enjoy that sunshine!! Soak it up, let it settle in and soothe your winter blues away!! Spring is in full swing and we're looking forward to outdoor pooch portrait sessions to begin!!

Here's Zoey, who came through the studio last year as one of our first gift certificate sessions. It was a Mother's Day gift from our Mailman to his Mom. We took some time in the studio and then went out back to get some greenery in the scenery!! A beautiful set of canvas prints from the session adorn their walls for years to come.

I am absolutely blown away at the turnout that we had at the Pet Supplies Plus - Somersworth, NH Boop Snoot Photoshoot event!! Yappy Pawlidays was a huge success!

After seeing some large print orders come through I have decided to match the amount of raised funds to be donated from $100 to $200 dollars. We also had someone pay for another person's session out of kindness so we're donating that 60 dollars as well, making it a grand total of $260 buckaroos that are going to Pope Memorial Humane Society NH

It isn't much, but this was the first time I was able to raise funds at a pet related event with the intention of giving back. In these situations, every penny and anything helps when it comes to shelter pets.

To everyone that came down to be a part of it, thank you!!! Without you, it would have been a long boring day.

To Santa, my man... Goodness, gracious, we appreciate you taking time out of your busy schedule to make some pet parents very happy on Sunday! We did alright!!

And to Tracy and your crew at PSP, we're forever grateful of you support of local businesses. You've got a beautiful thing going on down there and we're proud to be a part of it!
