10 Basic Puppy Training Tips

1. Start early- short fun, training sessions.
2. Socialize- introduce new people, dogs, and environments.
3. Use positive reinforcement- treats, praise, and toys.
4. Teach basics- sit, stay, come, down, leave it.
5. Set boundaries- don’t allow jumping, biting, or pulling.
6. Redirect nipping- say “no bite” and offer a toy.
7. Crate Train- helps with potty training and structure.
8. Provide mental stimulation- puzzles, training games.
9. Exercise appropriately- short play sessions, not long walks.
10. Stay consistent- same commands and rules every time.
