Taking a break from posts and responses to highlight the other half and all the great work she’s doing!
Not only is she castrating goats, working graveyard half of the month, starting an informative vet med page with Yaqui animal rescue, helping with spay and neuter clinics with high school students (future vets), she’s now starting a new journey part time at Veterinary Medical Center of Harlingen! So proud of everything she’s doing!
When we first started dating this show world was new to her but she’s caught on fast. She worked under Temple Grandin in vet school and has applied better animal husbandry here ever since. She even wrote a pretty lengthy letter about the importance of proper handling in the 4H/FFA ring after seeing a student smack their animal so hard the barn rang with an echo at a local prospect show. She’s passionate about her profession and our stock!
Follow her new page if you have a chance!

🐾✨ Hello Dr. Tawny Hanna! 👩⚕️🩺
Dr. Hanna’s days are full of wagging tails, barnyard friends, and helping pets live their best lives! 🐶🐴🐐🐮🐱

Dr. Hanna is the co-owner of a busy ranch (Rising Valley Livestock)
She has a little fur-family of her own including 3 dogs, a horse, 4 goats, mini cows, a barn cat & many dedicated ranch dogs. 🙀
In her “free” time (if you can call it that!) you’ll find her painting, gardening, landscaping, hiking, or biking. ✨
She is also a proud sponsor for kids in 4H & FFA. The love doesn’t stop there either she even helps rescues like Yaqui Animal Rescue AND still provides emergency services to our sister clinic in McAllen Pet Doctor 911 Animal Medical Center!
Talk about a big heart and a full plate! 💗
She will be seeing dogs and cats on a general practice, and in some cases, urgent care basis! 😊
We’re so excited to have her on the team, stop by and say hello to Dr. Hanna! 🌟🐾
