I’d love to invite you and your families to visit Kitzman’s Farm Sanctuary this Sunday, September 6, from 9:00 AM–12:00 PM!

Although our guided sanctuary tours are currently full, RMS staff and their families are still welcome to stop by and enjoy the morning with us. 🍎🐐🐷

We’ll have:

🍎 Apple Picking in our orchard — Jonathan & McIntosh apples
🥤 Fresh-squeezed juices
☕ Coffee truck
👕 Sanctuary merchandise
🎨 Kids’ crafts
🖌️ Local artists live painting
📚 Signed books from local author Eric Ferguson
🐶 And possibly a dog available for adoption through Granny Rose Animal Shelter!

Come out, pick some apples, grab a drink, enjoy the farm, and support the sanctuary. Bring your family and stay for as little or as long as you’d like!

The 2nd Annual Feathers & Fur Gala

Kitzman’s Farm Sanctuary invites you to dress up and join us for an unforgettable evening in support of the animals we love.

This year’s gala will feature a live performance by Christopher Carter: Mentalist & Mind Reader.

So… what exactly does a mentalist do?

Christopher blends psychology, body language, suggestion, humor, and audience participation to create the seemingly impossible illusion of reading minds. Guests may simply think of a word, name, or image — and he reveals it. Decisions can appear to be predicted before they’re even made. And unlike a traditional magic show, the audience becomes part of the performance.

In addition to the show, the evening will feature:

Live Auction
Silent Auction
Dinner & an elegant night out
And, of course, an opportunity to support the rescued animals of Kitzman’s Farm Sanctuary

This is a formal event, so dress to impress!

Last year was incredible, and we can’t wait to make year two even bigger.

Meet Sue Ellen!✨

Two years ago she was diagnosed with Cushings Disease and Metabolic Syndrome. Blackhawk and Polo Vet have been treating her, which could not have been done without the help of generous donations.

Below is a photo of her two years ago, pre-diagnosis, and a current photo of her now. Your donations have helped her live a comfortable, happy life here.

When we take in animals we are not just providing a home for them. Every animal is evaluated, immunized, diagnosed and treated for the rest of their life here. We are so thankful for your support that allows us to give these animals the best life possible. 🤍

What is a Farm Sanctuary?

We’ve received many requests lately to take in cats and kittens, and we want to clarify our mission.

Kitzman’s Farm Sanctuary provides a safe, lifelong home primarily for farm animals who have been abandoned, surrendered, neglected, or need a place to live out their lives. Unlike a traditional shelter or rescue, most of our animals are permanent residents.

🐱 While we love cats and kittens and have helped when we can, we are currently FULL and cannot accept any more. We have taken in over 20 cats and kittens this year.

Every animal we accept requires space, food, veterinary care, and a long-term commitment. Saying “no” is difficult, but sometimes it’s necessary to properly care for the animals already depending on us.

Thank you for understanding and supporting our mission. Please reach out to local animal shelters. They may have fosters available to help out!🐐🐷🐄🫏🐓❤️
