The worst part of having a cat is when its time to say goodbye 💔
Nix was a melansitic bengal that we originally brought in to be a part of our program in 2017, unfortunately she was never able to give us kittens, at 3 weeks pregnant she developed a severe uterine infection that caused her to abort, we rushed her to vet where they performed an emergency spay. She spent the next few weeks being syringe fed and cared for, the vet didn't think she'd make it, but against the odds she did!
Nix was adopted out to my in laws, where she spent the next 9 years being loved and spoiled. She brought them so much joy, she was their only baby and truly only had eyes for them. Unfortunately at 14 years of age, she became sick and there was nothing vets could do, she was declining rapidly and they had to make the hard decision to put her out of suffering.
Nix presence in their home will be greatly missed, she was their travel buddy when they came to Montana, and their daily companion, doing almost everything with them.
Nixie-stix will forever be in our hearts and very much so theirs. Give your companions some extra snuggles today, because it's never enough time with them.
