We have 15 "girls" and 2 roosters. Some of them are 5 years old. All of the hens have been laying eggs as much as they can. We have 8 inches of snow on the ground so they like to stay by the coop.

This is Ben the Rooster. He looks to me to be a cross between a Barred Rock and a Light Brahma Chicken. He showed up one day, a while back and started hanging out by the chickens. I think one of my neighbors just let him go since they didn't want two roosters.
I ended up rescuing him and tried to introduce him to my three roosters and 22 hens, but they just didn't get along. I am in the process of building him a coop. I am going to give him two hens so he can have his own brood. He is such a good boy.

I recently realized that Duke and Timber are the 8th and 9th dogs that Earl has had to deal with. He is such a good kitty.
