Horses take time. They take time to learn, to process, to heal and to grow.
Progress isn’t always big moments, sometimes it’s a softer eye, a deeper breath, a more relaxed step. Or even trying again after a hard day.

We believe in supporting the whole horse, mind and body 🧠🐴

Quietude makes the time we do have with our equine partners count! 🥰

Side effects may include: less chaos and deeper breaths 😉

Happy Memorial Day 🇺🇸

Today we honor and remember the brave men and women who gave everything for our freedom. ❤️

From peaceful barn mornings to sunset rides, we’re grateful for the simple moments made possible by their sacrifice. Hug your horses a little tighter today, spend time with the ones you love, and remember those who served.

Wishing everyone a safe, peaceful Memorial Day from all of us at Quietude

Horses are meant to move, graze, and be with each other. Living outside gives them the freedom to do what comes naturally. wandering, stretching, socializing, and settling into their own rhythm. You can see it in how they carry themselves. More relaxed, more grounded, more Quietude among the herd.

Dash had his turn with acupuncture recently and let’s just say, he was not impressed. 😅🐎

But moments like this remind us that helping horses feel their best doesn’t always look traditional. Acupuncture has been used to support relaxation, reduce discomfort, and help with overall balance in the body and even if Dash isn’t a fan yet, it’s part of exploring what works for him.

We’ve learned that caring for horses sometimes means being open to different approaches, whether that’s acupuncture, bodywork, or more natural supports like hemp-based products to help with calm and comfort.

At the end of the day, it’s about listening to them, paying attention, and doing what we can to help them feel their best, even if they give us a little attitude along the way.

What alternative therapies have you tried and what did you think?

Trainer Tuesday 🐎

There’s a moment every trainer recognizes, the one where you’re saying the same thing over and over, and you know it hasn’t quite landed yet.

In this ride, it was “slow down.” Again and again.

And then something shifted.
She started saying it out loud “slow, slow” and suddenly her body followed.

That’s the moment you wait for. Not just hearing the instruction, but feeling it, owning it, riding it.

Progress doesn’t come from getting it right the first time. It comes from staying with it until it clicks, and not giving up.

And when it does… you can see it.

Have you ever had something not click until you said it (or felt it) for yourself? I know we’ve all been there.
