Hey Hamtramck! This year we’re taking on new snow shoveling clients for residential homes & small apartments. Each time it snows we’ll come and shovel the entryways, sidewalks, mailbox area, and whatever else we discuss.
We apply Calcium Chloride rather than salt - safer for your pets and the environment. Email jimandpetersfarm@gmail or DM ❄️

We’re also a part of a larger snow co-op that has its roster full for the season, so if you see us around Detroit don’t be surprised!

Here’s our rented backyard we’ve slowly transformed over the last two years.
In addition to farming we love making gardens with edible landscaping, thriving ecosystems, and using plants to create tiny rooms. We’ve noticed more native wildlife visiting our yard, like a ton native bee species, orioles, goldfinch, predatory wasps, and swallowtail butterflies. It sounds so different at night with all these lil dudes chirping away, compared to a few years ago 💚

The dahlias are finally here full force! This Pink Gingham is one of our favorites. We started these tubers indoors way back in April and they’ve been babied in a hoop house all year. 💖

Catch these in our edible flower bouquets at Palmer Park Farmers Market next Wednesday (9/7) from 4:30-7:30pm!

Flower pics from tonight’s edible bouquets at Palmer Park Farmers Market 💛

Detroit & Hamtramck grown from seed with no pesticides or sprays, just compost & worm castings. We grow all of our edible flowers to the same standards as our veggies in regards to food safety.

Soon we’ll begin to prep beds on the new farm for soil remediation sunflower growing next year. We were hoping to start that this year, but with so little time left it’s better to wait. We’ll also plant some early season cold hardy flowers and cover crops that will help uptake lead and won’t be eaten.
