Did you know? 🤔

Hermit crabs groom themselves just like cats do. They carefully clean their antennae, eyes, claws, and legs to remove debris and keep their sensory organs working properly.

If you catch your crab doing this, you’re witnessing a normal, healthy behavior. 🐚❤️

This is the last restock of whole Camellias this season that will include pink. 💗

The next restock will be reds only. Don’t be too disappointed, the reds are gorgeous, and are actually my favorite. 😍🐚

It may look like they’re avoiding each other, and sometimes they are! 🤣

Hermit crabs don’t always want to share the same space. If one crab quietly moves away instead of arguing, that’s often normal communication and a great way to avoid conflict.

Providing plenty of climbing opportunities, hiding places, and enrichment helps each crab choose its own space when it wants to.

Sometimes the healthiest interaction is simply walking away. ❤️

Did you know hermit crabs communicate through their behavior just as much as they do with sounds and antennae? 🐚🌿

No crabs were harmed in the making of this video. ⚠️🤣

Beetle always seems a little uneasy after a tank refresh and likes a bit of time to adjust.

Grimace wandered a little too close and got a gentle reminder about personal space. 🤣

A few seconds later, they went their separate ways, and Beetle was perfectly fine. ❤️

Not every crab-to-crab interaction is aggression. Sometimes it’s just communication and setting boundaries. 🐚

Meet the Testers! 🥰

🐚 Wingstop had no big claw when he came to us, and was so pale. Now he’s thriving & gorgeous!

❤️ Beetle is the OG. He prefers fresh fruit and vegetables, popcorn and treats.

🌿 Vinny loves foraging, and I can always find him in a foraging pit or under some leaves.

🥥 Grimace is my largest. He is always in a coconut hut or munching on branches.

Every product is inspired by these little personalities and tested by the crabs who use them every day. Thank you for following along and supporting The Crabby Critter Company! 🌿🐚❤️
